The Art of Fine Furniture

“The Art of Fine Furniture” is an exhibit showcasing works of regional and nationally recognized studio furniture makers. Workshops and programs are designed for those who are interested in the extraordinary. Local fine furniture maker, Jamie Schell, will curate the pieces in the exhibit, which are made one at a time, many are one of a kind, and most of them are available for purchase. This year’s exhibit will explore the changing juxtaposition of artist and craftsman over time.

“The Art of Fine Furniture” opens at the History Center on June 20 with a reception from 1-3 p.m. and will be available to view until July 31. Many of the artists will be present at the reception. Learn more at http://www.winonahistory.org and http://www.theartoffinefurniture.com.

Sponsored by Winona National Bank. This exhibit is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
