Since 2011, Mid West Music Fest has been an event with more than 100 acts–including many special events and collaborations.
Mid West Music Fest (MWMF) is an all-ages, multiple-venue, multiple-genre and multiple-day music festival. Mid West Music Fest spreads music throughout the city of Winona each spring as it brings dozens of bands to stages large and small. Funk, soul, folk, and indie rock are the festival’s staple genres, with musicians coming from across the Upper Midwest to attract a crowd that swells to thousands between venues.
The mission of the MWMF is to promote music and art activism in the region, creating opportunities for artists, stimulating downtown economic development, and providing diverse educational resources for artists, community members, and children.

MWMF is excited to share our 15th anniversary lineup of musicians. This collection of former and new fest performers is going to be a blast!
This year’s festival highlights include headliner Night Moves — the psych-rockers from Minneapolis and longtime festival favorite — and Raffaella — a rising star with recent collaborations with Hippocampus and Samia. The fest is also bringing back legacy acts from across the fest’s history for its 15th year, including previous headliners Heiruspecs, Rogue Valley, Lucy Michelle, and Black-Eyed Snakes featuring Alan Sparhawk of Low and Retribution Gospel Choir. Festival regulars like The Shackletons, Mike Munson, My Grandma’s Cardigan, and Maudlin will play alongside dozens of newcomers including Nathan Graham, Allison Mahal, Sean Anonymous, Chutes, Aiden Intro, and more. Locals will see plenty of familiar faces within Texas Toast, Radium Girls, Waisted, and Beet Root Stew on the stages you’ve come to love.
The fest will will host two free stages, and free events on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., including a maker’s market, performances at Levee Park, family activities, and the return of our Sounds Like School teen performances.
